Local Priorities

City Central Priorities – March – June 2026

•ASB for all areas
•Acquisitive crime – Burglary and Auto crime

How priorities are chosen:

The priorities for the City Central Neighbourhood Team are reviewed every 3 months in a multi-Agency meeting attended by the local Neighbourhood Policing Inspector and Sergeants, Nottinghamshire City Council Housing Services officer, Nottinghamshire City Council ASB Enforcement officer and Nottingham City Council Neighbourhood Safety officer.

The meeting looks at the data from crime recording and intelligence systems held by the police, as well as data from the Nottinghamshire Police Crime Commissioners Office and responses to the ‘What Matters’ survey submitted to the police via the Notts Alert system, in order to determine which matters are important to our communities.

The priorities selected do not detract from other priorities either locally or across the force.

Status Update

Anti-Social Behaviour: All forms of ASB for all areas.

We have made huge progress to combat ASB and we have seen a large decrease in ASB incidents across the area compared to the same period last year, but we are keen to continue the good work.

We will continue to engage with the student community through our university policing team by continuing to host Campus Conversation events which aim to ensure our students feel supported, know who to turn to, as well as encourage positive behaviour within the wider community.

We will continue to tackle local drug dealers, and have continued to execute drug warrants, resulting in several arrests and Class A and Class B drug seizures. Drug dealing can negatively impact communities and as such when we discover drugs, cash and related goods, we will always thoroughly investigate.

Acquisitive Crime: Burglary and Auto Crime

There continues to be an increase in both Burglary and auto crime offences across the City Central area.

Our efforts will continue with proactive policing with days of action planned. We have made several arrests to curve these offences. We will continue to work alongside our partners providing the local community with practical crime prevention advice where needed.
